Walnuts are probably the number one source of Omega 3-6 ratio. Natural peanut butter is good.
Any cold water fish, sardines, salmon, mackerel, lake trout, etc. You should be able to find Omega supplements somewhere. If you can order off the internet, there are tons of places to get flax oil, or any number of Omega supplements that will help you. Opt for a higher Omega 3 count as to 6...many health reasons, and not to mention if you are dieting, your body will strip w3's first when it burns fat. -------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

i drink 4-5 glasses of milk per day. what i was thinking to do is to take more whole milk during the day like 1-2 glasses instead of 1-2 glass of skimmed milk.
do you think it is ok? cause i need like 30 more grams. can i drink whpole milk before bed=? |

Milk fat is not the optimal way to get fats. As suggested, opt for Omega 3 fats. The health benefits are numerous.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

Flax seeds are cheap and can be mixed with about anything. I usually add a teaspoon with my oatmeal in the morning, and sometimes with my salad at dinner. Good source of omegas!-------------- - Its never about how much you can lift, or how many reps you do. Its just about doing it, and doing it right. - If your hungry all the time, your not eating enough. And anyways, being hungry sucks. ~Brad~ |

hehehe i eat too much fat. i thought i wasn't getting enough (only allowed 24 grams a day) but I'm at more like 32. I don't know if this is enough to really be concerned about. As it is my diet is great except the fat part hehehe. Still I figure well normally I'd eat more fat than that so it isn't too bad. I'm gonna have to take another look at my diet and try to shave off some pounds. Looks like I might have to give up theprotein bars I've been eating...oh well...
I haven't come across any posts telling people to take the fats at a specific time. I think though, some people just take them at meals (if they take the fish oils because it makes it easier to digest). if you are eating a tablespoon or two of peanut butter why not have it any time you want it, for instance sometime in the afternoon if you get sluggish. I don't know what it would do to your body in terms of negating pre-workout/post-workout efforts- you certainly don't wanna screw around with that. So I'd say any time other than pre and post work outs are the safest time to eat it, UNTIL someone can tell you that it won't hurt to have it then. |

I'm trying to create a nutrition plan. My suggested fat intake is 26g. When I looked up the fats in some of the foods I eat, its listed as tr. Does anyone know what that means?
