I am 18 years old and I have a one year old child.Ever since I had my kid I have gotten so big.I am 5'4 and weigh 210-215.Before that I weighed about 190 which is still way to big.I would like to get back down to 135 or less like when I was 15.The problem is I have no will power. My husband has about the same amount of will power as I.I have no help in eating right and exercising. How should I go about this I need help fast before I start having serious health problems please.

Well, you've made two steps so far...
First, you know there could be health problems in the future... secondly, you've come to FT...
Fill out a profile on FT, pick an exercise routine and go from there... tell you hubby he needs to help in this too... have him fill out a profile and join as well, workout together... also, keep a close eye on your diet... that might be a good place to start...
And, if you need motivation, jump on line here and tell us that... we'll give you that extra little push to get going...
Welcome to FT...

Shyprincess~
I am 5ft4, and weigh 225lbs. I know how you feel. At my smallest, I weighed 165lb, and would love to get back there. However, being realistic is a key to losing weight. Instead of saying I need to lose 80lbs, start with 10-15. Then when you get there, re-evaluate what you are doing, and keep going. It is a long hard road losing weight, especially after having a baby(Iknow) Start with walking if you can, and cut out soda, cookies, ince and anything else that you KNOW is not good for you. You will see results!

Some extra things that have helped get me from 225 to 160
1. when you take ur kid to the park get off ur butt and play too!
2. listen to music when you clean and dance around to it
3. take the stairs not escalator/elevator
4.when going to the store/mall park as far away as possible
5.sit down at the table for EVERY meal, this does not include "coffee" table
good luck girls!

sitting down at the table for meals is such a good one.
You eat and you get up.
Eating at the couch in front of the TV is such a bad habit .. my husband always wants to eat there and once I am down, might as well stay there.. I never get right up and put the dishes away, and the after dinner walk frequently disappears if I sit down on that darn couch.

You know I have the same problem. Without the baby part. Do you have any friends that are supportive of you? Sometimes it takes a friend to help out. It may be that you have to take charge and defy everyone. You may even have to change the diet of your husband. You two have a child to raise and I'm going to be blunt about it that chld is going to pick up whatever eatng habits you two have. You just have to decide you are going to do it and just do it.
-------------- Peace Out!
