I'm 18 years old..i'm currently just fine tuning my body & i know EXACTLY how to do that in the gym, but I have NO IDEA what i should be eating, and how often or how much. Could anybody suggest to me a sample menu of the types of foods i should be eating and for what meals?

hi kayla welcome to FT.
you should be eating from 5-6 smalls meals a day.
3 normal meals + 2 snacks (or 3 depending on what your needs are).
what are your goals? cut? maintain?
you should be eating
eggs/tuna/meat/chicken/fish...
oats/cereal (whole grain)/ pasta/potatoes/white rice...dont forget veggies
and from fats, all kind of nuts (look for EFA on this site, thats essentail fatty acids)
keep in mind you need to eat as healthy as you can.
givbe your body a free day and eat whatever you want on this day.

kakaroto did you mean brown rice? white rice is not conducive to losing fat.
if you're going to eat pasta make sure it's either wheat pasta or some kind of spinach-type pasta. also, you'll want to opt for sweet potatoes or yams instead of regular potatoes.
there is a thread in this forum called "grocery list for a bodybuilder." check out the foods on that list, that will give you a good idea of what's best to eat.
-------------- i wish you ill, ice-t.

If you look at the thread "starting over again II" there are some examples of meals which people trying to lose weight are eating.
