im only 15 years old and i'm currently 5''4' and 200 pounds!!! i've been slowly gaining ever since i got my tonsils out when i was around 8 years old. Since i'm not the grocerie shopper in my house, i sometimes find it hard to eat healthy when i'm served greasy pizza for supper and dont have much healthy fruits and veggies etc in the house... i've talked to my parents about it (my whole family is overweight) and they buy a few good things the first time i tell them, but after a while, they stop buying them again... i am fairly good at getting enough exercise, because im within walking distance to the gym, so food is my main probem here... plus, im not the best cook, so when we do have good food i dont know how to prepare it...i just dont know what i should do, i want to get my weight down before it gets to be dangerously unhealthy. any tips or advice or Anything would be helpful and appreciated!

My suggestion to you is, go to your parents again and again until they realize how strongly you feel aboout this. Your doing great by going to the gym and exercising, that's more than most would do. The other thing you have control over is you intake. Even though you may not be getting served the healthiest foods, you can still limit the amount that you eat. Where what you eat is important, most of losing weight comes down to burning more calories than you take in. Start eating in moderation, cut out junk foods, chips, candy, chocolate, fast foods, soda, etc.
I think stressing to your parents just how imortant this is to you should be done without a doubt. Good luck and welome to FT!
