Over the last 6 weeks I have been trying to gain some extra weight, but have still been struggling to make any progress.

Heres what I am eatting:

---------------
Breakfast: 2 whole eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal w/teaspoon brown sugar+ flax, 1 serving peanut butter on either two rice cakes or 2 slices of multigrain toast

Snack: 3/4 cup of cottage cheese, 1/2 cup oatmeal

Lunch: Tuna w/mayo+cottage cheese (to make it stick together better) or canned salmon (if I don't have time to make lunch), cup of mini carrots.

Snack 2: 2 egg whites, bowl of salad

Dinner: Chicken breast or Pork Chop, mixed veggies, 1 serving of peanut butter on rice cakes or multigrain toast.

--Go to the gym--

Post workout: Whey shake w/ banana (made with water)
----------

I don't vary these meals much and I drink a lot of water through out the day.

Looking at this now, I see a lot of stuff I should probably change. Maybe drop the rice cakes/toast and just eat the peanut butter straight.

Any advice is appriciated.

If you are trying to gain weight, add some quality carbs like sweet poatatoes and vegetables. Also, more protein. 2 eggs is not enough. add a scoop of whey protein to your oats (after cooking and letting them cool a bit).

Brown rice would be another good addition to some of your meals.

Thanks for the advice. I will start adding more protien to my breakfasts either through whey or extra egg whites. Couple questions: Are the carbs that I am taking in not good? I always thought oatmeal/veggies were a good source of carbs.

I never really enjoyed the taste of sweet potatoes (I always pass them up at christmas dinner). What do you recommend for other quality carbs?

Now that I think about it, I actually have a large bag of brown rice I purchased; I should make more use of it...
