I tried Creatine Monohydrate!! Awful

I tried creatine today and I feel like crap!! My stomach hurts so bad and I am so gassy...I really feel like death warmed over. I feel shaky and hungry,..Just really bad. Is this normal? I only had a 8 oz drink. I mixed it with cran/rasberry juice, it's all I had, I seriously wish I had never tried it. :(

I felt the same way the first time I ever tried Creatine. I suggest you eat something next time before taking it. That first time I took it on an empty stomach and I puked 20 minutes into my workout. The next day I ate some oatmeal and 2 hard boiled eggs minus the yoke, then 20 minutes later took the creatine and was fine. No sick feelings at all. Good luck!

stay away from the citrus fruit catagories when mixing creatine......the natural acid in it messes with the creatine. I perfer gatoraid......grapjuice or crystal light if i'm watching my calories.

How much you take? Usually that upset feeling is form taking to much, an dalos not having somthing in your stomache.

What was the doseage you did? Some doseages are 10 gr., and especially for a smaller weight person, this much can nauseate you. Make sure you are doing 5 gr. doses maximum.

make sure you drink lots and lots of water when your on creatine.. like a gallon a day.. it dehydrates your body
