I did do a quick profile so I'll not repeat myself.
Just a couple of questions.... How do I add a muscle not to be worked? I have huge calves and really don't want them any bigger....Also, I'm starting as a beginner, it's almost 8years since I last lifted a weight and I never knew anything technical about it. Did I do the right thing by choosing to build strength and mass? It's the strength I'm after. Will I be able to stop building mass once I feel I'm massive enough?
If i take your name right you are a woman......as a woman it is not as easy to build massive muscles unless youa re taking someithin. That said what comes next is not easy to hear. I was in the same position I had almost 20 in arms at one point and after a 80 lb weight loss I was done to 16.5. ANd the realization came that most of that loss in size was due to fat loss. think that your calves are as big as you say due to fat under the muscle pushing it out making it apear larger.....that may or may not be the case maybe youa re just damm lucky to have good genes in that part.
My advice is to train them with higher reps and like twice a week and to get your diet under stricter control and I bet they actually slim down. Well Good luck and WElcome to FT.
-------------- FOR MY WIFE:
THE HIGH COST OF LIVING AINT NOTHING COMPARED TO THE COST OF LIVING HIGH.

Thanks for your response it's actually very reassuring. You're right I m a woman and as such would sometimes like to wear long boots and have never been able to due to my calves, even when I was at my slimmest (53k). I think I have unlucky genes. Anyway. Thanks for your advice its much appreciated.
