Just thought to say a quick hello. I am 28,a mother of 6 kids, the last 2 being twin girls who are now 2 years old and I am trying to get back into shape. My first goal is to get to a size 7 which I think I can do if I lose about 20 pounds. I just started walking with my mother in law once a week and we have decided to add going to the gym once a week as well, mainly for the weights. Looking forward to it, its gonna be 1/2 cardio, 1/2 hour-1 hour of weights and then swimming. I am also planning on doing exercise videos at home, mainly cardio right now and maybe some isometrics and pilates. Decided to join up for a little more info and guidance as its been a few years since I have had an actual exercise plan( other then walking for hours a day). I live in British Columbia, Canada atm. I am going on 10 years of marraige to a wonderful husband and father. My main goal right now is to lose weight and firm up ...and I think I am starting to blab a bit so gonna cut off hear to start. :big_smile:

Hey rohkea, welcome to the site! Quite impressive, doing all that and with your mother in law to boot...wow! JK. Looking forward to having you around. Just so you know, not just the guys, but a lot of the women here are going to be telling you weights are a more effective way to achieve your goals. Either way, best of luck on reaching your goals!

Hi, and thanks! Been having lots of fun getting back into shape and yes with my mother in law LOL, we are actually good friends and she is flexible with my schedual since she is retired so its working out great. I am hoping to work enough time in my scheduale to get into the gym for hte weights mainly atleast 2ce a week but as time allows I can only do it once, giving me time to warm up and cool down properly. I find the gym is quite addictive, I was there from 9:15 - lunch time before we left and boy that felt great. Sleeping much better now too so I know this is definetly what I have been missing these last few years, I do miss being active hehe. Anyway, my self time is up and now time to get back to work at home, thanks again!
