i have weak shoulders and ankles... my shoulders tend to pop out of the socket once in a while when im playing ball... and ive re-injured my ankle several times already. what exercises can i do to strenghthen them? heeeelp.

i had an op on my shoulder when i was 22... it's been fab although i can't stretch behind myself so far, but then why?
i think an op is the way to go..
ankles i don't know but they are the hardest muscle to build
If you've got recurrent dislocation an op may help but if you are generally hypermobile like I am then the best thing is resistance training. Make sure that you pay really close attention to form so that you don't injure yourself.
I saw a rheumatology physio and she was amazed at how little trouble I get with my joints despite a really wide range of movement and she reckons it's because I do weights - stronger muscles compensate for floppier joints.
