Hey everyone. I was looking through the forums here and it looks like you guys can really help people out, so I figured I'd give it a go. I'm a 17 year old male, 147 pounds, and supposedly that a perfect weight for me. My BMI is like 21... and thats perfect. But the only thing i don't understand is why I still look fat. I have lots of chub and stuff... Even though I'm supposedly a healthy weight.... Could it be just a lot of loose skin? (Ive lost a LOT of weight in the past 4 years) Like... i don't understand and it's really frustrating sometimes. I just want to be able to go to the beach with my girlfriend and be able to take off my shirt without embarassment! Can yah help me out anyone? Thanks!

BMI is a poor measurement....go to a doctor/gym and get a body fat test....sounds like you have fairly low muscle mass and relatively high fat %....

also were you using the online system to calc your BMI? don't trust it. it could say 21, and you might really be 27 for example. the best way is to get it tested from a pro.

well...BMI is fairly accurate for everyone....all it does is measures proportion of weight to height....both of which are easy to measure.....Nikki I think you're talking about the online body fat % tests.....those can indeed vary quite a bit
