I just started my diet today. Ofcourse, this is after many failed diets. I'm only 21 years old and weigh 208lbs at 5'6 inches tall. I've always been heavy and am ready to take control!!! I can't wait!

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

Hi AJ! You've already taken the first step! Congrats! I bet you feel better about yourself already, just by making the decision. I know, I've been where you are right now. If I can do it, so can you! The first little piece of advice I'll give you, is loose the word diet. For people like us, it is not a temporary thing. You are taking your first steps in a new lfestyle. Also remember, just walking at a brisk pace can do a lot of good. You can get the same benefits as running, you just have to do the exercise longer. It's been several years for me now, and I now run 10+ miles a week. Keep us updated!

Excellent attitude AJ! Good luck with your goals and your new lifestyle. Go out today and buy one of those disposable cameras. Take some pictures of yourself in various poses and save them. These will come in handy later on as your body begins to adapt to your new lifestyle. You will be able to see the changes more clearly with this method. This will provide you with an excellent motivational tool.
