Hi I'm Crystal, I'm new to this site. Hopefully it will be of some help to me. I'm a new mom to a beautiful 4 month old baby girl. Her name is Brette. I need to lose 70-90 lbs, hopefully I can do that in a year or less...wish me luck and good luck to everyone else out there

A year is a good goal. A healthy attainable and maintainable wt loss would be 1-2lbs/week, however you'll usually drop a bit more water weight in the beginning. So in 12 months (52weeks) 50-70lbs should work. Add in 2-3 days/week of cardio and 2-3days/week of weight training, and you'll look and feel even better! Try and set small goals every 2 months or so. Take the time to really learn about nutrition and exercise from all the posts on FT...choose your foods from the "grocery list for healthy eating" (found in the diet and nutrition forum) and what you learn will help you reach your goal. It takes a lot of dedication, but it is worth it. If you have questions, just ask (although do a search to see if your questions have been answered in previous posts), there are loads of helpful people here!
