what is your height and weight and we will give an opinion on if you are too small

i have the same problem. i'm 20, 5'6" and weigh about 107-108lbs. does that sound too small? i'm definitely not trying to lose weight, just firm up my stomach a bit.
also, for someone my size, how many calories should i eat a day? i find that at the end of the day i've eaten quite a bit less than what is said to be healthy or normal, but i never feel like i'm starving myself (if anything i feel really full)

Ariek--I'm 5' 6.5", my current weight is 143 and when I weighed 128 lbs. I was very thin, but healthy and I was happy with the way I looked. I could not imagine being any thinner than that, and I am small boned. Even at 118 I would have looked emaciated and unhealthy...and I don't believe I could ever get to that weight following any reasonable diet. I could not even fathom ever being at your weight. I'm not saying it isn't possible to be healthy at your height and weight but I do imagine that people would find you very thin, and possibly be concerned.

ariek - at 5'6" and 108 lbs, you are withering away. That is too low. How many calories do you eat per day?

well i think that you guys would have to see a picture of me or something in order to really judge though because i don't (and never have) had an eating disorder and i've been at this weight for a couple years now. (my weight is consistent...never fluctuated or whatever) I've always been small and have eaten pretty much whatever I want (within reason of course) so its not like I'm starving myself.

If you feel healthy and your doctor isn't concerned, then you are probably fine. You probably just have that type of metabolism. I see a lot of really skinny people that are perfectly healthy. If you are going to work out just make sure you are eating more to compensate for the extra calories you will burn.
