I am a beginner and just starting a program and wanted to know in what order should I do that days split. Today is Biceps, triceps and abs, consisting of barbell curl, dumbell curl, tricep push downs, kickbacks, crunches and leg lifts. Do I do one set of each exercise and then repeat? Do I do just one exercise, all the sets for that exercise then the next exercise? Or do I do both bicep exercises, then move to the tricep exercises and then the abs? Thanks in advance, I'm sure I will be asking for more help later on.

Ok first work the larger muscles first. Do tris first do all of one exercise (ex do all sets for kickbacks before moving on). then do biceps then abs
-------------- If you can still itch your nose after arm day, go do another set wussie!!!!

Just as Mutt said, do the larger muscles first. The larger muscles are usually worked by some sort of motion that involves moving more than one joint (like with bench presses, squats, deadlifts, etc). Work in sets: do X-number of sets of barbell curls, then x-number of sets of dumbbell curls, etc. One excercise at a time. You can, however, mix things up a bit and do a superset. Supersetting bi's and tri's are fun. For example, after doing a set of barbell curls, immediately pick up the dumbbells and start doing kickbacks. Do this for 3-4 sets. Your entire upper arm will feel like its going to explode. Its a great feeling. Try it sometime.

Thanks guys. Jbennet you weren't joking about thinking that your arms were going to explode. I did supersets with the barbell curls and tri push downs. I look forward to doing them again next week. Also looking at were else I may be able to do that.
