Hi All...first post! I'm a new member. I just bought Muscle Milk on the recommendation of some friends from the gym. I was looking to just get a protein supplement but went with this instead. I eat every 2.5 hrs - 4th meal is at 4:30pm, and I get home at 7, to the gym by 7:30. I usually don't eat anything from 4:30 until after my workout. Should I have a Muscle Milk shake before hitting the gym? One scoop or two? (I weigh 118lb and am now doing 40 min cardio to lose some fat). Also, when I get home from the gym its about 9:15. Should I eat "real" food at that time? Or have a shake? If so, is MM okay or should I be having just whey shake instead? I go to bed around 11 and have been eating cottage cheese as my last meal of the day (Lactaid brand since I am intolerant). I guess I just want to know if only taking in liquids during the second half of my day is okay.
P.S. I am using muscle milk to keep mass since my cardio is ramped up. Last spring I lost lots of fat but too much muscle and want to prevent that from happening again. Thanks for the help!

I believe MM has a mix of whey and cassein protein....so I suggest you have it 45-60 min before workout....then right after it would be better idea to get a whey protein with a mix off simple carbs....with dextrose/dextrin...2:1 carbs to protein.....then about 60-90 minutes after have a meal..

cottage cheese is excellent idea before bed...it has cassein protein which digest slowly and helps prevent muscle breakdown

I also strongly recommend Fish Oil supplement...it prevents muscle break down while dieting and it's good for the heart....take 5g in the morning and 5g at night...in the form of capsules...or if u can bear it..u can try liquid...

During the day and pre bed is probably best. I would not use it post workout, but pre would be ok. Loaded with MCT's, which are metabolized much like carbs, easily used for energy.
