Take the time and let it heal or you could end up making things considerably worse for yourself. Sometimes it's tough not to train when you really want to, especially if it's your fav but letting it heal in my opinion would be the smart thing to do.

which motions hurt? when you raise arm up? when you lower your arm?
put your elbow against your side...arm bent at 90 degrees, now keeping elbow by your side....try slightly rotating your arm away from the body? does that hurt? what about slightly rotating the arm towards the body? palms facing the floor and elbow still in the same position, slightly raise the arm at the elbow...does that hurt?
my guess is that you hurt your rotator cuff muscles....best to diagnose that would be to go to your doctor....and best ways to slowly recover is to work on your rotator cuff muscles with very light weight and 15-20 reps for a few sets....provides you have no serious tears or some other structural damage....
doing bench press too much wears out your shoulder joint...and creates many strength imbalances....it's best to have a solid full body workout....we all like certain exercises more than others but it's important to stay balanced in your training...
focus on doing big lifts like squats, deadlifts, rows, pull ups, shrugs.....if you can do them pain free right now....
some people can do bench press and avoid shoulder pain is to tinker with their grip...going narrow or wider....
Dumbells provide more range of motion and can help you work around your pain...
cables and strethable bands help similarly...

See a doctor. Noone should be trying to guess at what is injured when you can not do a visual assessment.
