Is it insecurity or just wanting to look good for the ladies? Every magazine I see shows men with no chest hair. Logic and marketing would have you believe (from the numbers)that more women are attracted to men with no hair on their chest. I think that no hair on my chest makes me look a lot more cut and muscular. I see that women are more attracted to me when shaved. I have had women tell me that that it is insecure of me to shave my chest. Is it?? I know you should be proud of what the man above has given you but does this count. I know women shave certain parts of their bodies to attract men. I think it looks great. I don't think they are insecure for it............... Your thoughts????

Luckily I have real light fine chest hair, so I only shave for contests. But, if I had real dark coarse hair, I believe I would shave it. One thing to think of, yes the man upstairs gave you X amount of things, but you worked hard for your body. Lots of heavy chest hair would definitely hide a great amount of chest work you should be proud of. To me, it is not insecure at all.-------------- Great people never want it easier, they just want to be better! Ron |

I'm not insecure about shaving body hair at all, I just don't want to. For example, I have alot of chest hair (can you say gorilla?... LOL), and every woman that I've ever known has always said how they love to run their hands through it; I've mentioned it a few times to a few of them that I was thinking of shaving, just to get their opinions, and they all threaten me with bodily injury! When I asked them why, they said that, and this is contrary to the media hype, they like their men to look like men, and by shaving what your testosterone-saturated body gave you was, how do I say it, less than masculine. As my one friend said, "If a man has hair on his chest, and he shaves it (not being in a comp), it's the equivalent of a woman shaving her head. She can do it, but it just doesn't look right."

As a woman, I have always hated having to shave my legs and armpits. Luckily I am not very hairy and what there is is fine and light. I can't imagine anyone opting to shave anything that they didn't have to. I can see that it lets your muscles show better, but I like my man hairy. Like rev said, I enjoy running my hands through it. And because I find it very masculine, it makes me feel more feminine. Whew.. good.. I'm not alone. I give the chest a "trim" every couple weeks. I did it after a friend commented that I was rather hairy. Well it looked REALLY good after I trimmed it down a bit. -------------- Dont wait! Procrastinate NOW! =) |

From a women's perspective, I agree with redhead. I find myself looking more when there is hair there. A shaved chest isn't near as sexy.

I think both are fine - it's the brain in the guy that makes him sexy :)

Go amazon! Listen, I have "patches" that are uneven...like 100 hairs total, so I'm thinking about shaving it regularly. For the ladies; does this sound ok? If not, why not? And what about underarm hair? (I look like I have Bucwheat in a headlock haha)
And what about "other" hair (ahem).? -------------- --There are no versions of the truth.-- Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park II |

Try a hair removal cream for your "patches" Ogun (Neet?) - it won't grow back as quickly or as "stubbley" (is this a word?)
LOL @ buckwheat in a headlock. I think both your questions could be answered the same - neat and trimmed is best. |

Just one question-When the hair grows back on your chest, does it itch real bad? Whenever I grow a beard it itches like crazy for awhile. I couldn't imagine dealing with that anywhere else.

If the guy is hairless great! If the guy has hair on his chest softness is a plus so I recomend using a conditioner. If the guy has hair on his back shaving is a must.
Reminds me of an old boyfriend I had who was very hairy...I convinced him to shave his chest...boy, did we regret it, he ended up looking like a plucked chicken, lol! |
