So I know Insulin spiking has been posted a gazillion times here. I work out at night and sugar tends to keep me awake. I work out to be healthy and look good but I am far from being an Adonis. My question is, since sugar keeps me awake, is it a waste to exercise and take my PWO shake if I dont use malto / dextrose to spike my insulin?
After a workout I drink whey protein isolate. I wait about an hour, drink some muscle milk and go to bed. I know many will say it is better then nothing but how much am I missing out on by not spiking?
