Many yogurts have way too much added sugars. The protein is more concentrated in cottage cheese (more protein per serving size). Why not try mixing some no sugar added yogurt in with your cottage cheese? Blueberry is yummy. Add a sprinkle of vanilla whey protein (thanks to Rev8ball for that idea) and viola! - it tastes like blueberry cheesecake. Not exactly like the real thing, but better than plain cottage cheese...
