im 14 is protein bad for me to take and is it considered a supplement because ive told everyone i wont take any supplements because i wanna do it the hard way so can u help?

Anything you take in other than basic food sources are a supplement but that doesn't mean it's bad.

Just to add some more info. If your seriously wt training it is a good idea to get in 1-1.5g of protien per lb of body weight per day-so if you weigh 160lb then you should try and get 160-240g protien per day (1 chicken breast has about 30g protien) Some people find it difficult to get this amount from natural food sources such as lean meats, eggs, fish, low fat cheeses etc. In this case it is helpful to suppliment with a protien mix like whey protien or even a protien bar. Hope this helps.

Make sure you drink a lot of water if you increase your protein intake.
Too much protein is not really healthy

so i weigh 135 so about 75 to 90 grams a day and i cant really get that and i eat alot of protein foods so i was thinkin bout whey protein but it wont make like workin out easier for me so i dont think it would be bad as long as i kept up my water drinkin thnk

yh sorry i was in a hurry! i was sayin that i need about 75 to 90 grams of protein a day and i dont think that it would be bad to take protein because i eat alot of protein rich foods and still cant get that much. and it doesnt make workin out easier so im still doin it the hard way beacuse thats just part of dieting

Protein doesn't make it easier to lift. It's the building block of muscle. You need it if you wanna grow muscle. You need between 1-1.5 grams of protein, per pound of body weight, per day. So at 135 pounds, you need between 135-200 grams to build muscle. Taking whey to meet this requirement is the only sense that it's making anything "easier".
