i just wanted to know if there is a lot of fat in a lean cut of red meat. i know everyone knocks red meat but its full of essentials and protein, i guess what im asking is exactly how much fat is in red meat.

It really depends, I have seen in some lean meats about 9g of fat in a typical 4oz. serving which is not to bad.

Round (eye of round, top round) steak can have less fat than chicken, depending on how it's trimmed. Saturated fat is not quite the evil it was once made out to be now that the medical community has done more research on trans fats.

Besides chicken I need my red meat! An cut of meat you aquire that ends with the suffix loin, will be lean, and good protein and iron.
