I just can't get my food down. I won't get any more descriptive. But is this going to ruin my week diet wise?

Sorry to hear you're sick! Don't worry about ruining your week, just focus on getting rest and trying to keep some fluids in you. You're body needs all the help it can get to fight off the flu! Sip water, chicken broth, whatever you can keep down-gatorade is good as well since it'll help your electrolytes. Get lot's of rest and when you're feeling better, refuel with healthy foods.

You'll probably find that you drop a few lbs rather quickly-mainly due to dehydration, but just ignore that and return to your normal eating habits and everything will balance out.

Hope you're better soon!

Thanks fly for the advice. I can't really rest as I work alone and have to work..I'm here at my desk wanting to go to sleep. Awful isn't it?

I'm trying to get my water in..I had a green tea and some dry toast. Do you think I should try to get my protein shakes in or just leave them?

I think you should take in whatever you can. The more nutrition you get into your body the better chance you'll have of fighting off the bug. Listen to your body, it'll tell you if it'll accept food--as I'm sure you've already found out! Just take everything in small quatities. Liquids would probably be best. I used to use a BRAT diet with my kids when they were sick. Start with Banana, if that stays down, Rice, Applesauce then dry Toast. If it is more of a "stomach flu" stay away from dairy for a few days.

Sorry to hear that mushie. When you get better see it as a chance to really put your will-power to the test and hit your diet and workouts that much harder to make up for it. Of course push-ups on the porcelain could help if you're up for it. Sorry...I'll leave now.
