I am really new to this as I have only previously done cardio workouts. Do you think it would be ok to do one day cardio and two days weights one week and then 2 days cadio and one day weigts the next? Maybe I should mention I want to lose weight and tone up not gain! Sorry to seem so dense :-)
Another suggestion is to do some fast circuit training 3 times a week. This will work your entire body and give you some cardio training as well. Good luck.
