I signed up for a gain mass programme. However my exercises shows 4 sets and high reps - like the incline press starts off at 20 reps - 16 - 12 - 10. I thought when gaining size your suppose to keep low reps/sets and high waits. So about 3 sets of 8-12 reps. Dunno though, Im just a n00b.

BTW, I tried to update my personal profile and it changed my entire exercise programme. Feel very unmotivated now, I love filling up those things and recording to log what Ive done :)

Hi hellscream, I too am new and still learning, and please, someone corect me if I'm wrong. I think when starting off on your first set(20) the weight should be set a bit low, then as you progress to the next set(16) increase the weight, keep increasing the weight on each set until you complete the final set or until failure, I look at the first set or 2 as my warm up for the big stuff to follow in the next couple of sets.

can anyone make sense here to what FT is trying to do giving all those reps when the user has chosen a gain mass program?
