My plan has a 25 min on road bike ride listed on several days. My problem is that on road rides are deathly boreing. My favorite bike ride is a 5 mile 45 minute off road ride. Not many hills or such, since I am in south east Georiga, but plenty of critters to avoid. I dont want to give up my ride because it is one heck of a mental break, but I dont want it to hurt what I am doing with the weights.
Would you guys suggest I do this on my bike days as listed on my plan or leave this for my off days (mon, wed, fri) and suffer through a road ride or use my treadmill which is the other thing listed for my cardio.

Any form of movement that gets your heart rate up and or up and down can be considered cardio. The more intense you are at it, the more cardiovascular healthy it becomes. Look at these "new" workout tapes they are always selling on TV...The newest one I have seen is some type of round and round tennis type workout, that is promising to get you lean. Will it work, sure it will...it is something that gets your heart rate up, thus burns calories. With accompanying diet, it will work. Moral of the story, anything that gets you moving does one thing, burns calories. Burn enough calories, and you will lose weight. Will this interfere with you trying to gain muscle, you bet. You will have to adjust your calories up dramatically to compensate for the caloric burn you suffer from your "cardio". In the end, it is all about calories, burning fat or gaining muscle, along with your genetic limitations. (that is the X factor you can do little about...see steroids).
