I know isolate is a quick absorbing protein but was wondering because i use it sometimes at night before bed if mixing it with flax seed oil and cottage cheese would slow its absorption rate?

I think it would slow down the absortion rate because of them casien portein in the cottage cheese. But that's alright though because your taking it right before you go to sleep and that's when you need protein for a long period of time.

Justin, that's kind of like trying to make a lion into a sheep. They are two different things. It won't slow down absorption enough to make a difference. Are you having trouble getting enough protein? Cottage cheese should be enough at night as long as you get adequate protein throughout the day.
If you need 200 g of protein, divide by six and try to eat that much each meal. You may want to put a little additional protein in your first 5 meals. This isn't an all or nothing deal. If you miss a set on one workout would you worry? Nope. As long as you get close to your protein requirements you'll be fine. You can add some kind of nuts to cottage cheese to increase protein as well as healthy fats.

Hey charlie i get plenty of protein throughout the day about 300g. but i like to have a shake before bed for added protein,i'll just use whey at night, i was wondering because i ran out of my whey protein the other day and only had my pwo protein. but i'll be picking up some whey tomorrow, i think 2 tbsp. of flax oil is plenty of health fats before bed, so i won't be needing any nuts:laugh: Thanks for the info
