I'm new to the board, but I have an answer for you. I had the same thing and went to my doctor. It's caused either by poor circulation, or it is a form of hives. For me, it was hives. If you have little white patches surrounded by red (like pale skin surrounded by redness) when you are itching, it's hives. This is a condition caused an allergic reaction to the rise in body temperature. Mine used to get so bad I would be in tears. Anyway, here's your solution: Allegra, or some other form of non-drowsy antihistimine. My doc prescribed Allegra. I take one in the morning about an hour before I work out. NO ITCHING! Not one time since I've started on the Allegra. Only someone who has experienced this will understand what a relief it was to find an answer! Good luck!

I'm new to the board too, but I have the same problem with the tingling and burning. I've never known what it was so thanks for the info.

I remember having that problem sometimes when I'd run outside in the winter in Illinois. I thought it was just dry skin. Not so much of a problem now in Cali :o)

Ok here's my experience, it was all of a sudden one time after a shower, I dried myself with a towel. Well I went into a scratching frenzy. Jumped back into the shower and rinsed again, thinking I didn't get all the soap off.
Then, another time the same thing happenned, went nuts with the itch, it was all over my legs, arms back. Jumped back into the shower, tried cooler water. Still went crazy.
Here's the catch....If you are using any FABRIC SOFTENERS in your clothing, stop! You are alergic to it, and when you swet, you are activating the compund in your clothing.
My wife stopped using it, and no more itch from the softner in the towels.
You will save money and no itch!

Yes fabric soften can definetly be the culprit. Fortunately I found that out as a kid and I use only bounce "free" (no dyes or perfumes)
