OK...I have a funny friday story...I already told ka...but since y'all are so quiet...I'll tell you..
Last friday my partner didnt show up at work...my boss had to leave for an emergency...so that left me by myself on a friday...if we got hit with a bar rush I'd a been toast..so another server stayed..but shes realtively new...anyway...she said she would stay if I could give her a ride home...no one to pick her up at 3 in the morning..so I say..SURE...no problem(I'm sure you've guessed...there was a problem)so we never got hit...very slow night...so at 2:30 I say I'll run her home...I left my dishwasher there...he helps me with my tables...he can run a couple while I'm gone...and off we go...this chick takes me down all these back country roads..she lives THIRTY minutes away...so going BACK...I get LOST...with my gas light ON!!!!!I drove around for about an hour...I called work to check on my dishwasher...hes fine but has sent a STRIPPER to make change...he was out of 1's and 5's...I know shes a regular...but COME ON...I found a gas station..luckily I had my tips..I didnt even bring my purse...I see the highway in front of me...but I have no idea what direction to go in..so I call work...they're useless...so off I go driving again...in circles...eventually I come across another dennys(where I work)...and walk in...in my uniform...they look at me like I've lost my mind...I tell them they're gonna get a kick out of this...I'm lost...I need MY dennys...can they help me get back...the whole place got a kick out of it...and everybody and their mother is trying to give me directions back to MY store...eventually two cops came up and said they would help me get back...I got a POLICE ESCORT back..I laughed the whole way back..it was hysterical...that was LAST friday...we'll see how THIS friday goes...

I have my parents coming from Sunday until Tuesday and then other family coming from Tuesday until the following Tuesday...so I guess I am cleaning and cooking the whole weekend.

eeewwww....I always tell my husband having family around is like fish in the fridge...after 3 days they STINK...but thats me...my family makes me batty!!!!!:)

All I ever hope for is to get some sleep, get some cleaning done, and get some work done. I usually don't get it all done, but on Friday there is still hope.

I'm looking forward to a nice quiet weekend. My cleaning lady is at my house today so I get to go home to a nice clean house (for about 2 hours until my hubby and kids ruin it!) I think my mother-in-law may be visiting on Saturday, but that'll be OK. Already did my laundry yesterday....so...TGIF!

I highly recommend a cleaning lady to anyone! I just found that I was spending all my weekends doing household chores. She comes once every 2 weeks and does what I call the grunt work....washes floors, cleans the bathrooms, vacuums, dusts etc. I could't live without her now! I couldn't believe what a stress reliever it was when I first got her!!

My goal is to make enough money through my business so that I can afford a cleaning lady. Time spent cleaning seriously lowers the quality of life. Or something like that. Feels like a big waste of life.

As usual on Sunday, our mothers come over and spend the day with the family. As for the cleaning lady....she's here Wednesday.

maybe its a canadian thing...I had a cleaning lady overseas...because they were so cheap it was hard to pass up...6 euros...so maybe 10 bucks...to come and clean basic stuff,dusting mopping,whatever...she came once a week...once a month I gave her 20 euros to really clean...the oven...behind the fridge..the base boards...you name it she cleaned it...
she would have even done my laundry...but I said no to that.
