What are your thoughts, comments on this protein filled snack? Is it bad for you? I know I sound dumb but I actually have no idea. I don't think I've ever even tried it but I probably will to add another protein filled meal I can take with me to the office. Does it have too much salt? Come to think of it, what is too much salt? Thanks.
Also, does anyone know some tasty brands I can try?

I'm not sure about the nutritional value, but I can say that Wild Bill's jerky is excellent.

Thanks, I'll try some if I find it. Is jerky a good, clean high protein snack comparable to protein bars though? Are there preservatives in it that can harm you?

probably not if you make your own... just buy a dehydrator and throw some turkey strips or beef strips in there for over night... it's the best

I like the Jack linx brand. Very addictive, don't jave too much, as it sometimes has Hydrogenated crap added to it. Like Tara says, home made is best.

jerky is a good "snack" just watch the incredible sodium content in most of the stuff good luck

Like bowers says, the sodium in these things can be outrageous...Just don't let it be at everymeal or snack.
