Found this website by accident, or maybe it was fate, who knows. I was up to 250 lbs at one point, and at 5'3" that's no sneeze. But I've managed to lose 56 lbs. so far by changing my diet and doing some type of activity each day, whether it be walking to work or a friend's house, riding my bike, and in the summer swimming. Now I want to add a little muscle toning to my workout because as I lose the weight I realize that, um, I'm flabby. So, maybe it was no accident I found this site after all.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I have to say that after losing the first 50 lbs. I feel younger now than I did 10 years ago. That's a good thing, since there are days I suffer from the "Oh my lord I can't really be this old already" syndrome, and I'm only pushing 33!! I can't imagine what I'm gonna be like at 40 or 50 or heaven forbid 80. But, I plan to get into the best shape I can, so that I can always feel younger than I am.
