If you're having trouble eating the same type of foods week in and week out. Think to yourself: "I'm not eating this food for the taste, I'm eating it for the nutrients." This has helped me out tremendously. This is how Jay Cutler get through his pre-contest diet.

Are you doing the diet program on here? I havent spent much time checking it, but found it sorta hard to figure out so gave up on it...plus seen here were people comment that it gives them too many per day calories to intake. I know I need a better program for my weight lifting but havent got that portion developed.

workingoutgirl---I don't follow the program on here. It had me taking in over 6000 calories a day, and over 600g of carbs. I'm trying to bulk up for my next contest, but I don't want to get fat!! Anyway, I came up with my own nutrition program, and I've had great results from it. You can instant message me and tell me what your goals are and I could help you out with setting up a diet.

I see my food in terms of protein and carbohydrates and fats. My number one thing is to insure I am getting the adequate amounts.

Ditto bb1fit. Just do the calculations and you will eventually know what you are eating. I can't believe I look at broccoli as candy with my meals! lol

That's excactly what I do during another contest preparation...... It's nothing to do with taste, it just has to get down since you know it's good for you........ (naaaah maybe not THAT bad but close! ;o)

Ok - how do I come up with the calculations to LOOSE weight for now being 118-119, desire to loose 10 pounds (5'3") and lifting 3-4 times a week. Mostly have been at 3 since I've been busy with the holiday stuff but going back to 4 soon! Also adding cardio which I wasn't doing....for 30-40 minutes a shot.

My dear it's all in your mind...... You have to visualize yourself with the changings. And when you feel lazy and don't want to weight train or do your cardio, then bring back the picture in your head and there you go; sweating on the stairmaster!!! (with a BIG smile!! (o;

Just keep working hard like you are. You will see, one time when you look in the mirror, something different. And every time you eat right, you are one step closer to your goal.

Good idea; I think alot of people just worry to much about eating, especialy when they walk by the bakery or see a food add. I try to look at it as required fuel that you have to have to perform. Why not find the most nutritional and high quality? Dont mess up your system with junk.
