Hey all!
I'm a newbie today! I'm so glad I found this site! I'm posting to introduce myself and hopefully eventually relate to some people who feel the same way I do about fitness.

I recently lost 45lbs (doing Weight Watchers) and started doing just cardio since I joined my gym 1 1/2 months ago. I am almost fully recovered from a herniated disk (took 3 months)in my neck (work injury), I see the doc tomorrow and will hopefully get the ok to lift at the gym.

Doing heavy cardio I have maintained my bodyweight and even gained some shape to my thighs and gluts, lost a bit of tummy and arm flab. I joined this site because I'm looking into "doing it right". Due to the doc bills I have incurred from my herniated disk I am tapped out withoout any money for a Personal Trainer.

The people around me (friends/family) do not share the same views as I do about wieght loss and fitness, hopefully this site will give me some insight and also understanding from people who are looking to acheive the same goals as I am.

Welcome and I'm sorry to hear about your disk troubles. That must of been painful, but it is good to know you are doing better!

Congratulations on your weight loss!!! That is great!

Your motivation will take you where you would like to be and there are many posts already here that can give you some insight into a lot of the questions you may have and if you post you can know that there are wonderful, inspirational people here that can help answer your questions.

I know what you mean about the "people around me", where I live I haven't met anyone that is remotely interested in physical fitness. That is why this group is important to me.

Good luck to you!
