Hi! I'm new (female). I've been walking about a year and am just starting wts 3x/week. I really don't have any numbers yet as I'm just trying to figure out 8-12 reps on some exercises. I'm messing around with a standard bar + 10 for curls and raises.
I've been walking (hills etc.). Last week I did a (normal-type, not football field) staircase 8x with a 25lb plate in my backpack. I'm going to walk 10 km (hills included) carrying 10 or maybe 15 in backpack along with usual food/water.
I go slow to avoid injury. I messed up my heels for about 5 weeks doing 20km-rest 1 day only-then walk marathon-then 20 km. My feet are fine now but I realize I need so,e strengthening if I want to walk back to back like that. (volkssport 10 KM walks - not bad by themselves but a bunch at a time like 20km-20km-20km on vacation).
I have no idea how many lbs leg press - - too shy/cheap to go to gym and get tested.
