I just joined the site and wanted to introduce myself. I am 27 male from Louisiana. I want to lose some weight and add some mass, the only problem is that I have a problem staying consistent, and motivated.
One of the more difficult problems for me is going to be the fact that I work shift (day shift Monday and Tuesday, night shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; days Wednesday and Thursday and vise verse every two weeks).
I have worked out off and on for as long as I can remember, but I just can't seem to be able to stay consistent and motivated since I left the Navy nine years ago. Since leaving the military I haven't been able to stay motivated and I have gradually gained weight and lost my definition. So any motivation that any of you would be willing to give me will be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

1. Learn to love the gym
2. Invest in a full length mirror for home just to remind you why you are going to the gym in the firstplace
3. Learn what works for you through trial and error.
4. Learn from advice but dont always take it
6. Dont waste your money on supplements
7. Dont try and over complicate what is a simple.
8. Be polite but do not socialise in the gym
9. Go to the gym - do what you need to - and get out
10.Dont be afraid to challange 'experts' knowledge
11.Dont get bored
12.Your mental state is the difference between success and failure
13. Prove it to yourself and nobody else
Good luck
