I'm just starting on the 8 week lean mass program with abs and chest special programs and doing 25 minutes of cardio. Just wondering if anyone thinks that is too much to start out with. My workouts are 5 days a week with each lasting anywhere from 45min to an hour and 15min. So far it feels good but I know I need to be dieting a little better, but it's hard since I'm limited in my cooking ability for the next month until I move out of the barracks and into an apartment. Also need suggestions on good supplements or protien drinks to build up some weight and help with the muscle building.

workouts sound good.. as long as you have 1-2 days rest in the week, workouts no longer than what you have you should be fine.. take a protein shake 1/4 your bodyweight in grams after a workout (ie you weigh 200 lbs, protein shake 50g).. lots of different kinds, look for ones that are low sugar/sucralose (optimum, iso pro, etc.)

bropie pretty much covered the details. In general, just listen to your body. If you are still sore, you aren't finished recovering. If you aren't sore the day after you didn't work out with the intensity that you should have. Make sure you mix your routine up exercise/set wise to keep you body from getting into a rut. good luck.
