I just burned 293 kcals doing DDR. Does this mean I burned 293 actual calories? I am keeping a log and I am not sure how to accurately record this...can anyone help me??

I'm not sure what that means either. If you are using a chart or an exercise machine to tell you how many calories you burned, beware. Exercise machine computers aren't very accurate.

You're on the right track by logging it though. Keep a careful log of your caloric intake. Eat the same amount every day for 2 weeks. If your weight remains static, drop your cals by 250 per day. Careful logging of your calories is the only way to establish a baseline.

Sometimes I lie awake at night and wonder where have I gone wrong? Then I hear a voice say this is gonna take longer than one night.
