Welp since I started jogging 2 weeks ago Ive been doing ALOT of progress in my cardio. But now my left knee hurts for the rest of the day. It feels like it wants to pop out when I lift my leg real fast, hard to explain ... You guys got any clue , of why I could be hurting ? Ill prolly just go see a doctor eh ? ...

I never had problems with my knees when jogging but my schines hurt like heck for days aftwards. Does anyone know what that is?

I don`t know but I had the same problems
but I have noticed when I was doing hack squats when I need to keep my legs under my body to avoid this pain.... So, I figure it`s a stress on your knees that causes the pain.... my body had that from jogin` but since we started to pay more attention to the technique while doing legs... the pain is gone. But I `d recommend you to go to see a doc. let me know :)

are you guys wearing good jogging shoes. hitting the concrete can hurt both your knees and your lower back quite a bit if you dont have the right shoes.

You might want to try some low impact cardio for a while and take some of the pounding off your knees. Bike/swim/EFX can be good replacements. Continuing to run on a knee that is already trying to tell you something in not advised.
As for shins - that could be the wrong shoes or it could be that you are landing on the ball of your foot instead of the heal which can put extra strain on the fron of the lower leg.

I agree with sunnyjack on this one another good cardio replacement is the lifecyle its sort of like running but not putting the stress on the joints. You should probably give it aleast a weeks rest to heal up abit, and then slowly start back up again. Also find out if you pronate or suponate(think i spelled that wrong) your feet when running and then buy the shoes that will support you style of running best.

all those are good ideas, but I would use knee supports when running if i feel that I need them. I also wouldn't squat so heavily, try to go for 12 to 15 reps. try all those ideas, if they don't work, then see the doctor as soon as possible. Amr

I'm no doc, but try not to run on pavement, a track or dirt is better for your over all body. Not as much jaring on a rubber track.

I don't know if your familiar with water exercises but a good one for people that have an injured leg is called vest running. What you do is get a floation vest and run in the water, your heart rate may not get very high because there is not a lot of resistance but it is a good workout that won't give the stress of running. Its also a way of practicing your form for running.
