Anyone had any problems similar to this? When I do leg extensions my knee is popping/crunching. If I go up stairs, it pops. Yesterday, I tried doing the eliptical, everytime I made a downward movement it would pop, with a slight burning irritation. I haven't been to the doctor yet, and just was trying to get an idea of what it might be.

I was just starting to feel a little soreness that continued a week after a workout that included leg extensions, it is nothing as bad as you described but it got me to search here. I read some advice from people on this board I trust that suggest to remove the exercise from your routine. I just noticed that you have not posted here for quite a while so maybe this will help others if not you. ;)

Sometimes I'll experience that same slight burning sensation when doing a leg extension with over my bodyweight. Sometimes if I bend my knees while standing up I'll hear a faint popping noise, but not too often.

I had that in the past in high school and eventually my knee starting giving out which ended up in me having to have surgery and getting a pin put in my knee.

If you don't get it looked at and dealt with you may sit out more than just a season. Go get it looked at by a specialist...there are a lot of things they can do nowadays without surgery.

Hmm... yeah, my knee crunches and pops and grinds but I also had an ACL reconsruction. I'd definitely go get it checked out as soon as possible. If it gets any worse, ... it could lead to arthritis or injuring it more.
