I know I need to do cardio and I try and jog about 4 times a week for 15-20 minutes. I have had to build up to this. I am trying to lose fat, but at the same time put on mass. I exercise 4-5 times a week. I am extremely picky with what I eat, so trying to eat the right foods is a challenge. Should I try and incorporate more supplements to offset what I am not getting through natural foods? I know it is probably not better than the real thing, but what am I supposed to do? I take a multi-vitamin a vegetable supplement and use creatine. Any help would be appreciated.

Your proflie is empty, we know nothing about you. Start there.
How picky? What do you eat in a typical day?
How willing are you to eat some things you dislike to get the physique you desire?

I am new to the website. I did fill out a profile, but it is not like yours. How do I do this? I am very picky. I will only eat a few vegetables and they have to be cooked and seasoned. Really the only time I get green vegetables is when I eat chinese food. That is why I take a vegetable supplement. I have tried to eat salads but I absolutely hate them. I wish I didn't. It would make things alot easier. I do not eat red meat only chicken (pretty much daily), shrimp and crab on occasion. A typical day would be either a Luna bar and water or cereal (usually whole wheat) for breakfast. A snack maybe of a green apple. Lunch would be something like spaghetti noodles and Ragu Traditional sauce. Usually have water throughout the day. I do not drink very many sodas at all. Maybe one a week. Dinner would be something like chicken, corn, some type of pasta maybe. As far as eating things I do not like I can try. Any suggestions on some supplements to offset my diet?

Your post still says NO PROFILE. Chicken is a great place to start. Green vegetables are good, seasoning is ok as long as it isn't a big plop of butter...lol. You should stay away from corn and potatoes, but sweet potatoes are good and can be cooked any way regular ones can. As for cereal, most here say oatmeal is the best deal. Without knowing anymore about you it is hard to be specific, but a high protein, lower fat, with considerable fibrous carbs, eaten in 6 small meals throughout the day is where you should start.

Actually if you're picky and don't mind eating the same thing over and over, that could work to your advantage. :) If you like Chinese food try stir frying your veggies in broth or cooking spray, or a little sesame oil and season w/ Chinese seasoning. Then you've got your basic chicken that you can eat all the time. What about brown rice? I'd try and find a sub for the pasta - brown rice, whole grain egg noodles, or just leave it out altogether. I don't think pasta's bad, it just doesn't have a lot of nutritional value, so it's taking the place of other, healthier foods you could be eating. Personally I eat Luna bars or some other bar like that and whole grain cereal all the time, usually throw some dried cranberries or blueberries on my cereal and use skim milk. Or cottage cheese instead of milk, with Kashi crunch, which is a granola-like cereal. Or oatmeal of course. I tend to find a few things I like and eat them all the time until I'm completely sick of them, that keeps things simple, keeps prep time to a minimum, and I'm not picky at all - just get tired of spending all my time preparing food. But then I also get tired of chicken and tuna and cottage cheese and eggs all the time. LOL My main advice - find some way to choke down those fibrous veggies - if you don't like salads, you can stir fry greens w/ the rest of your veggies in a Chinese style.

BB1fit, yes I get at least 7 hours most nights. Sometimes I do have insomnia, but it has been a while.
