I do well all day long when it comes to eating, but once the sun goes down and it gets dark out it seems that I am always hungry, looking for something delicious to munch on. What can I do to stop these awful cravings at night?

Usually that means your breakfast wasn't big enough, or you haven't eaten enough during the day. Or you are bored.
Here is how I deal with hunger -
I mix up a qaurt of crystal lite, ad a complimentary flavor protein powder and sip on it.
having a large, green salad at dinner will help fill you up, along with a good size seving of lean protein - 4-6 oz and a naked sweet potato or some brown rice.
Some lowfat cottage cheese as an evening snack is okay, or try some low or no-fat riccotta cheese mixed with coca powder and splenda - pretty tasty treat.
I hope this helps!

I have the same problem and for me it is boredom. As soon as I begin to veg in front of the TV, all I want to do is eat! I've started going for a walk around 9pm, just around the block-takes about 20min and it seems to help keep me in check until the walk and my munchies aren't so bad afterwards. My kids have even started to join me, so double bonus!
Asimmers snack alternatives are great ones as well.

i have also done the riccotta cheese dessert thing but i put a little bit of vanilla extract instead of cocoa... so vanilla instead of chocolate ... it was good. There are other flavors you can put in but i can't remeber them (i found them in the recipies section of the "south Beach" diet book)
