i'v Bn reading 2 much i guess, but how does one gain lean muscle without adding body fat?

add muscle = more calories
lose B/Fat = less calories

cut carbs, add carbs, cut calories, take in loads of calories... the only constant is take in protein for muscle recovery and loads of water. :(

i'm doing CV 4 times a week, weights 4 times a week. taking a low fat high protein supplement after workouts, and doing the 6 meals a day routine (carbs mainly at lunch to have energy for gym), rest is mainly low fat, low carb. fat loss has been good, abs are kinda showing, and muscle gain has been kinda slow yet noticeable.

i want to keep losing the body fat, but gain muscle at a generally higher pace. suggestions? :dumbbell:

also, i'm up for supplement renewal, and was thinking of getting a high whey protein supplement, and a creatine supplement this time around - views? :)

look, u cant do 2 things at a time, loosing fat and gaining muscle. To gain muscle, u also need a certain value of fat intake, so do a good mass program, go trough your eating plan,
do a little, or no cardio, that burns your energy and muscles to. U see all those bodybuilders are like pigs in ther offseason, when it comes down to comp. season, then its time to cut your fat....my advice, dont worry to much about the fat, get your daily protein intake, eat enough calories and do
a good mas program, i suggest you 3 times a week. U dont need nothing else for now

write down what you eat..........carbs... fat.. protein......after a week or so weigh yourself and do body fat.........do this again for a month but change some stuff, higher carbs, more protein mod. fat.......higher fat.......lower carbs , same protein..........see what works for you, If you gain body fat, change somthing......if you gain some muscle and body fat stay same your doing somthing right.

By being low carb and low fat......your not gonna gain much muscle.....you need some engery, if not protein will be broken down. I have read you can take up to 3g of carb per lb body weight. lower it to 2g if that seems high, or like I do use your LEAN mass as a indicator. I have about 205lbs of lean tissue on my body, so I at least keep 200 carbs in my diet, thats "low carb" for me.
