Any advice for growing leg mass? What I do--Compound exercises, at least 5 set, heavy weight, keep form.Twice a week. and sprints. Is this good or is there something better??

Doing squats is the answer of your prayers.... Warm up your legs with leg curls and leg extensions and then go for the Squat. Work in pyramide, more and more heavy and less repetions. If you do it right, you'll not be able to walk for four days afterwards, so once a week is enough. (you'll get fast results -after 4-6 weeks) Sprint is good, but it'll take a long time to get mass with that.

Thanks for input! Might help to know I'm very small and been lifting for 3 years seriously but just got help w/ diet. Legs seem to have alot of endurance. When I'm done with legs can barely walk out of gym but next day fatigued but can push em if need to. I think I do too much cardio, that will affect my gains? Or am I out to lunch on this?

Actually you can help your legs recover with cardio.... but not with all kind of cardio! Slowly steady cardio, where you'll be able to talk normally. After the squats the bike is a good choise, because you'll have less weight on your legs when you're sitting down. You know that the legs is one of the biggest muscle groups we have, so they need longer time to recover than for ex the arms. If you over train your legs, you'll not get any results but feeling tired and weak. An other good way of quick recovering is the sauna or massage. Try that.

I agree that squats are the answer. Heavy squats along with heavy leg presses, Hack squats and Lunges. Overall cardio will TAKE AWAY from your mass leg gains. Cardio takes away precious calories used for your leg recovery and it doesn't give your legs the rest they need to recover. Your muscles grow when you rest, not when you are working out. You want your legs to get bigger, make sure you do a 15 min warm up doing some kind of cardio, with your legs. After strech out 20sec per part, quads, hams, gluts, calves. Work a perimid work out light to start, and heaver so one. do a split 15,12,10, 8, 6-8 for the last. split is 15-135,12-225,10-275,8-315,6-8-335. workout and then strech after each workout. After working out make sure to strech again. only work your legs once a week, give them the time to heal. They are a big muscle, they need the time to rest to grow.
