I HAVE LARGE LEGS AND AFTER MY 80 LB WEIGHT GAIN WITH MY BABY THEY HAVE GOTTEN EVEN LARGER. I AM NERVOUS TO DO LOTS OF WEIGHTLIFTING WITH MY LEGS BECAUSE THEY BUILD MUSCLE FAST AND USUALLY STAY BULKY. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO SLIM THEM DOWN WITHOUT GAINING A LOT OF MASS?

Unfortunately you can not spot reduce. However, by having a proper diet you can lose fat. Your body picks and chooses the place where it wants the fat to come off of, the only thing you can do to aid this is to simply lose fat. Also, lifting your legs is a good way to shape your legs. Combination of both diet and exercise is for best results.

What makes you think you gain muscle fast and easy? Even if you did, a pound of muscle is a lot smaller in size than a pound of fat so go ahead and start lifting weights. Also, what is your diet like - that is the real key.

if you reduce calories...eat right, excercise...you will "tone" up.

Your current question is a fairly common one - spend some time reading in the FAQs forum and reading the 'sticky' posts (ones with the red push pin symbol next to them) in the other forums. I am sure you will find the answer to most of your questions. There is also a great search engine for the forums, at the bottom of the screen , called fitbuddy - you just put in keywords and it will pull up relevant posts. Usually you can find the info you are looking for.

If all that fails, then post a well-thought out question and I am sure you will receive some great suggestions. :)
