Hi everyone at FT, Maybe just looking for a little support in reaching my fitness goals. At 42 and 167lbs one year ago my goal was to get down to 125. I met my goal and now my plan is compete as a bodybuilder in May of 2003. The first thing I did was to go over my diet and make many changes. I am a diabetic, so I spoke with my doctor and I went on a high protien low carb diet and started a workout program at home, after two months of working out three to four days aweek, my husband suggested that I do the body for life program. We joined a gym together and he took my before pictures. I dedicated the next 12 weeks to losing 38lbs. That was one of the hardest things I had ever done. Well after the 12 weeks were over he took the after pictures at 127lbs. I couldn't believe I did it. He sent everything off and it is just a waiting game to see if I won anything. Well really I did already, I feel great, and he says I look great all the time. I started my gaining cycle about 8 weeks ago and have made great gains with that also. Being fit has really changed my life and lifestlye and I can never see myself going back to my old lifestlye, this one is just to much fun.

Really cool! I know the BFL plan really well. Have to commend you on a job well done. Did you follow his food groups as well?

I am curious did you use your free days or not?

I did use my cheat days, but I tried not to go overboard with it. Even now in order to maintain the new figure that I have, I have a hard time passing up the piece of cake or whatever it might be. Being a diabetic, I have to really watch what I eat anyway. Sundays are my days to have that thing I have craved all week.
