This morning I took a liquid vitamin for the first time and immediatedly threw-up. My body's reaction was pretty violent and fast... Has this happened to anyone else?

because it is liquid it will absorb into your system quicker than a pill. maybe try taking half the dose with food and a second dose later in the day. Vitamins should be taken with food.

RB is correct. Sometimes even normal vitamins give me stomach upset if I don't ingest them with food.

I'd had a protein shake before hand... maybe I needed solid food? Kind of scared of the vitamin's now, might go back to the horse pills. At this point, both equally nasty but I know I need to take them in some form. Thanks RB for the advice.

you are welcome Miyu actually you can take the vitamins with the protein shake, heck, even throw the dose in there, it will absorb better for you. As long as you are not taking them on an empty stomach.

What are the ingredients besides the vitamins or minerals in your liquid vitamin? Maybe there is something in there that does not agree with you. But to be honest, you just might be better off taking your vitamins in tablet form. Who really knows how stable vitamins are in a liquid for such long periods of time, for all you know, you could be getting absolutley nothing from your liquid vitamin.

Okay, So I took a half dose after breakfast today and 1 horse pill vitamin before going to the gym. Felt a little queasy but didn't throw-up (YAY!). dahayz, other ingredients are:Choline (bitartrate) 5mg, Inositol 5mg, L-Tyrosine 100mg,Citrus Bioflavonoids 25mg, Grape Seed Extract 5mg, Gamma Oryzanol (rice bran) 25mg, CoEnzyme Q10 5mg, Silica 15mg, PABA 5mg, Plant derived, ioonic trace minerals complex 250mg..... I have no idea what most of this stuff is. I feel like I need a chemistry degree to buy my vitamins.

Just as a side note: both B and un-buffered C vitamins can be quite harsh on an empty stomach. RB is correct by stating to take them with food.
