Has anyone ever tried this? Is it a significant source of protein? Would you recommend it?

I have found no way of eating and enjoying liver. It has a very bold taste that even cooking it with bacon can't hide. Some people love it though.
On the plus side, it's real cheap... can't understand how a restaurant can charge ten bucks for it...

Liver has some great qualities, but along with the *yuck* taste, it's very high in cholesterol. Instead, I use liver tabs. 2 or 3 companies carry them, and their benefits have been touted by both BB1 and myself, so try doing a search here at FTs.

If you are looking for protien, but want to actually be able to get it down, try cow tongue. It tasets pretty good, and if I remember correctly is pretty high in protien.

Question about the cow tongue cristalbelle or anyone who knows the answer. It's a good source of protein, but hows the fat content on it? Is it reasonable?
