I no it is not possible to exercise (spot) one area of the body, but I was wondering if jumping rope will help loose some inches off my thighs... I was also thinking of investing in a treadmill in the long run...I am not sure yet....I tried weight training when I was working out at the gym, but it just made my thighs appear to be bigger.....Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

the fat covering the muscles on your thighs is probably what made your thighs look bigger, so to lose that fat you gotta do cardio (jumping rope would qualify)

AND diet....... We women have to loose a lot of fat on the UPPER body before the fat burning starts to show on the LOWER body......
No fun, I know I know...... (o;

Thank you Philia2
My upper body is skinny...I guess you call it a pear shape..Skinny arms, waist, hour glass figure, but my legs are another story...much fuller then I want.
When I started working out again 6months ago I was just getting thinner on my upper body and my legs looked larger...Suggestions??? I don't want to make my thighs appear bigger if I start loosing fat on my upper body again...

Try to find the "body pear shape" (or something like that!) post in here. I wrote down everything you need to know (and do!) to change.
Don't give up, you'll be fine!!!!!!! (o:
