I've been training hard for about 7 months now (yes, I have taken a week off here and there). My diet is really clean, and I have tweaked the supplements. I have noticed solid gains in some areas (back, lats, tri's) but have seen very little gains in chest and bi's. Just genetics, or am I doing something wrong?

Try training the chest only once a week, that gives more time to develop, before being worked again. Have you tried targeting differently? Also depending on the BF, it's like the abs, if there is more around, the muscle will push out the fat more.

i've actually been considering just that lately (the once a week thing), BF is pretty low, hovering around 10%. I target differently almost every chest day, using flat bench as a base. I mix it up with incline/flat DB's, cable X-overs, Pec-Deck etc... 4 exercises x 4 sets (1 warm-up, 3 working). Working sets are 8-6-failure with no more than 45 secs inbetween.

Mon - Chest/Bi's
Tues - Back/Tri's
Wed - Off
Thurs - Legs/Shoul.
Fri - Chest/Bi's
Sat - Back Tri's
Sun - Off

I alternate pull/push muscles week to week, i.e: the week after I would do Chest/Tri's and Back/Bi's. 4 exercises per body part, 1 warm-up set, followed by 3 working sets, 8-6-failure.

You back lats and tri come into play in all the excercises your doing at oen time or another, you work tris on chest, shoulders, and yoru tri day........you lats/back get worked on ..shoulder, back( as stablizers) as wel as on back day...............try a 4 day spilt once a week
mon chest, tris
tue legs
wed off
thur back/ bis
fri shoulders

or a 3 day split
mon chest /back
wed legs, tris
fri shoulders, bis
alsp try changing your reps, some body part require different reps to get them to change. My legs can be worked with reps in the 10-6 range, however for my triceps to be worked well they need to be around 15-10, expierement.
