Eat food low in calories and avoid junk food, especially those with a lot of fat, eg. fried chips.
Drink plenty of water but not fizzy drink.
Remember your 5 a day... Have good sized meals. Not too much or too little.
I also heard a rumor that you put on weight if you miss breakfast. I don't know how true that is!
