I have an inversion table. You can get one at any "Play it again Sports" store or online. I find it VERY helpful and have actually seen a friend who was in BAD pain use it and except for flair ups every once in awhile, he is back to living a normal life.

Yes - get it checkod out, and then have a trainer check out your form when you exercise - training shouldn't result in back pain, you are doing something wrong.
Proper exercise will do a great deal towards alleviating back pain. Walking is one of the best back pain reducers out there, as are specific back stretches and strengthening exercises.

My back has hurt for years. I worked in the grocery business for 15 years which is really tough on the knees and the back. But, my back pain has been minimal after I started really hitting my abs hard. If you can do abs without straining your back I would do so!!
